·Course introduction·_______________________________________________________________

1DataModel and Decision

Data, Modeling and Decision is one of the core courses stipulated in the Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree training program in China. The course takes data-modeling-decision as the clue, Excel software and spreadsheet as the main tools, and case teaching as the means, aiming at helping students master the methods of data collection, processing and analysis, and establishing a reasonable quantitative analysis model to obtain accurate results. The result; and then make the right decision. The content of this course includes three modules: probability and statistics, operational research and decision science. Among them, probability statistics involves the main knowledge points such as probability basis, random variables and distribution, sampling estimation and hypothesis test, linear regression analysis, etc. Operational research involves linear programming, integer programming, network model, and decision science involves uncertain and risky decision-making and multi-attribute decision-making.

The purpose of this course is to enable MBA students to master and apply the methods and techniques of statistics, operations research and decision-making science, and to make scientific thinking and decision-making in combination with management practice. Through the study of this course, the trainees should master the basic statistical methods of data collection, processing, inference and analysis, the application scope, requirements and modeling methods of basic operational research models, the characteristics and application methods of main quantitative decision models in decision science, and be able to use a variety of advanced business intelligence, data analysis and data mining software (Tableau, SPSS StatisticsSPSS Modeler, TreePlan, Crystal Ball and Excel), manage and analyze data, and can select appropriate quantitative analysis methods to analyze, predict and make scientific decisions according to the characteristics of data and practical problems.

2Statistics

This course is a compulsory course for the business administration major of the School of Management. It is an important basic professional course. Through the study of this course, we can master statistical data collection, collation and data description statistical methods, inference statistical methods and commonly used statistical decision-making methods in management, grasp the skills of combining qualitative and quantitative organically, and lay a foundation for the follow-up course learning and future scientific research and management work. The teaching content of this course focuses on the practical application of statistical methods. By learning the knowledge of descriptive statistics, inferential statistics and commonly used statistical analysis methods, students can master the basic principles and methodological knowledge of statistics. They can use SPSS, Tableau or EXCEL to carry out statistical analysis of practical problems, and can initially engage in social economy according to specific tasks and conditions. In order to meet the needs of empirical research, scientific decision-making and economic management of various problems in the socialist market economy, we should do a good job of quantitative analysis on the basis of qualitative analysis, combining with our own specialty. At the same time, it also lays a solid foundation for the follow-up course learning, and lays a solid foundation for future management work.

The main contents include: 1. statistics and statistical data; 2. descriptive analysis of statistical data; 3. probability and probability distribution; 4. sample and its distribution; 5. interval estimation; 6. hypothesis test; 7. correlation and regression analysis; 8. contingency analysis; 9. nonparametric statistics (selection)
